Yesterday we flew from Christchurch to Nadi, Fiji. This morning we took a small plane to a smaller Fijian island, the garden island of Taveuni. We then rode in a minivan taxi with Vikram to a ‘boat dock’ – right, it was basically just step on a rock and hop into the boat. It was about a 45 minute trip (along with nine dozens eggs!) across the Pacific to the tiny, private island of Matangi.
Oh, Matangi Island, you are so romantic! A dozen or so Fijians serenade us into “dock”, we are overwhelmed with the joy and warmth in their singing.
